A workshop that will bring vision to the technical textile industry was held in Bursa within the scope of the BUTEXCOMP Supply Chain Matching Program. The event aimed to provide significant advantages by increasing cooperation between companies.
Within the scope of the Composite Material and Technical Textile Prototype Production and Application Center Technical Support Project (BUTEXCOMP) activities supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey within the scope of the Competitive Sectors Program and carried out by the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO), Supply Chain Matching Workshop was held with the participation of 19 company representatives.

57 meetings were held at the workshop within the scope of the BUTEXCOMP Supply Chain Matching Program, attended by 8 companies operating in the field of technical textiles and 11 supplier companies and solution provider institution representatives. Noting that the workshop is very important for the future of the sector, BUTEXCOMP 2nd Lock-Innovation Expert Mutlu Sezen said, “The aim of our workshop is to support the use of the Technical Textile and Materials Prototyping and Application Center, which will be established within the scope of the BUTEXCOMP project, by supplier companies and customer companies, SMEs in Bursa. To match our products with other product and raw material suppliers. Our ultimate goal is to increase the cooperation process between our companies and carry out joint work at our center.” said.
‘It Was Very Productive For The Future Of The Sector’
Bursa Uludağ University Textile Engineering Department Head Prof. Dr. In her evaluation of the workshop, Dilek Kut said, “We organized an event that aims to bring together industry stakeholders and work together. Many companies; They held meetings with each other in their own fields and areas of expertise. As Bursa Uludağ University Textile Engineering Department, we participated in the BUTEXCOMP project in order to exchange information with our industrialists both in the education aspect of the work and the competencies of the university. “I believe it will be very productive for the future of the sector.” he said. At the workshop, twinning meetings were held to support the companies’ business capacity. At the end of the event, BUTEXCOMP Technical Support Specialist Serap Gültekin gave information about the work to be done in the program in line with the results of the Supply Chain Matching Workshop.
A supply chain covering companies will be created with workshops for the technical textile and composite sectors. The workshops aim to increase the synergy between companies, ensure network formation, and ultimately implement clustering.
